Tottenham Hotspur legend Glenn Hoddle has urged the club to keep Tanguy Ndombele at the club, per Premier League Productions via The Daily Express.

Ndombele has been linked with a shock move to Barcelona that could allow Spurs to sign Philippe Coutinho, per Sport via Sport Witness.

Indeed, the France international has struggled to make a true impact since his club-record £53.8 million move to the north London club, making just 12 starts in the Premier League.

But Hoddle insists that he has the talent to become a superstar in north London and has urged Spurs to place their faith in the midfielder.

He said: "Ndombele I think there's a player in there, he's [Jose Mourinho] got to find that.

"Whether he's gone too far with that lad and they won't get him back as a player, I don't know.

"But I truly believe there's a player in there waiting to come out. If he moved on I think he would be sensational somewhere.”

GIVEMESPORT’S Harry Sherlock says…

Ndombele is incredible.

He’s got all the talent in the world and he has shown glimpses of it throughout his time in north London.

The Frenchman is a physically gifted specimen, can move the ball vertically and has the poise on the ball to dribble through the entirety of the opposition.

Look at his assist in the 2-1 win over Manchester City earlier this season; he dropped a shoulder, beat a defender, threaded a stunningly precise pass through to Son Heung-Min and the South Korea international found the back of the net.

He is the only player in the Spurs team who could have played that pass and, in doing so, showed just how good he could be.

Sending him away from the club would make precious little sense.
