Chelsea have been linked with a sensational summer move for Cristiano Ronaldo.

The Blues have already looked impressive in the transfer window - and it hasn't even opened yet!

Frank Lampard's side have already agreed a €40 million deal for Ajax's Hakim Ziyech, who will arrive at Stamford Bridge on July 1.

Timo Werner is also expected to move to London, with Chelsea reportedly activating his release clause - which actually expires today (Tuesday).

While The Blues are trying to get that deal across the line, it seems they also have their eyes on an even bigger transfer - one for Juventus superstar Ronaldo.

According to Marca, who cite the global press, Chelsea are prepared to part with €120 million to secure the forward's signature.

Ronaldo only arrived at Juventus in 2018 - costing the Italian champions €117m and although he's been an integral part of the team, he has looked off the pace recently.

But could we really see him return to the Premier League with Chelsea? It's hard to imagine.

It's unlikely we'll see Ronaldo at Chelsea

Yes, Roman Abramovich appears to be splashing the cash this summer. But he's building Lampard a project for the future and Ronaldo doesn't exactly fit that philosophy.

The five-time Ballon d'Or winner is 35-years-old now and although he's still undoubtedly one of the world's best players, he doesn't have too much time left at the very top.

When you look at the other players Chelsea have been linked with signing - 24-year-old Werner and Ben Chilwell (23) - it seems unlikely Abramovich will spend over 100 euros on a 35-year-old.

Werner is on his way to Chelsea

Ronaldo to Chelsea? Sorry, we just can't see it happening. We may have already found the craziest transfer rumour of the summer - and the window hasn't even opened yet!
