The Undertaker gave the clearest indication yet that his legendary wrestling career is nearing the end after footage emerged of "The Phenom" telling WWE chairman Vince McMahon "I'm done" after Extreme Rules back in 2019.The footage, however, has only just emerged after it featured in the latest episode of 'The Last Ride', which is a documentary shadowing the legendary WWE figure.Famed for his incredible WrestleMania winning streak, which saw him claim 21 successive victories before finally losing to Brock Lesnar in 2014, The Undertaker has competed inside the ring for over three decades, becoming one of the most popular figures in the sport. However, the 6ft 10in icon has shown signs of slowing down in recent years, and was involved in a disappointing match-up with Goldberg at Super Showdown. The veteran duo struggled to perform their signature moves at times, and although The Undertaker eventually had his hand raised, he looked a shadow of his former self.A month later, the Texan was back in action at Extreme Rules, this time putting in a more polished display in a winning effort alongside Roman Reigns against Shane McMahon and Drew McIntyre.Yet, The Undertaker was far from happy with his performance, and made his feelings clear to Vince McMahon in a revealing conversation backstage. "I'm not there anymore," The Undertaker told McMahon, before admitting that his body was struggling to cope and he now needed to assess what he wanted to do next in his career.

McMahon appeared a little surprised by the revelation, but offered support, saying: "I will follow your lead."

Whilst McMahon seems understandably reluctant to allow The Undertaker to retire, his response does suggest that he will not block the move if the former champion does decide to walk away from the sport for good.

The Undertaker remains a force to be reckoned with, as demonstrated by his latest WrestleMania win over AJ Styles, the 25th victory of his illustrious career on the sport's grandest stage.

He cannot continue forever, though, and his frank discussion with McMahon indicates that his time on the WWE roster is almost up.
