Tottenham are in talks to sign PSG's versatile defender Thomas Meunier according to The Express.
The Belgium international is out of contract at the end of the season and has attracted the interest of Liverpool and Manchester United as well.
Jose Mourinho has reportedly been tracking Meunier for several months with a view to landing the player this summer once he becomes available.
Rated at £21.6m, the Belgian can play at right-back but on the right of midfield too. However, it's in defence where Mourinho apparently wants to strengthen.
Spurs have little cash to spend in the window and therefore a move for a free agent would fit the bill perfectly, especially for someone with 40 caps to their name.
The 28-year-old was first linked with a switch to north London in April and it appears as though plans to strike a deal have since ramped up.

By Meunier's standards, he's had a pretty shoddy season in Paris. In 27 outings he's netted just once and assisted two goals so it's hardly a surprise that Thomas Tuchel is willing to let him depart.
After all, he scored five goals in 2018/19, laying on seven strikes for his teammates too.
That points to a player who is adept in the final third but that won't be entirely where he's judged. With Mourinho on the lookout for defenders, it's his capabilities among the backline that should be a real measure.
This season the defender has won on average 1.8 tackles per game while amassing 1.1 interceptions per match, but if that doesn't win over Spurs supporters, perhaps his public outing of Unai Emery will.
The Belgian has played 70 times under the ex-Arsenal head coach but admitted during Emery's final year in Paris that he was struggling to assert himself.
He went as far as stating that Emery would be out the exit door, something he was ultimately right about. "I'm waiting because a lot of things, like the coach, will change," Meunier damningly commented.
