Tottenham Hotspur are set to miss out on Ivan Perisic, according to Calciomercato.
Spurs are said to have made an approach for the Inter Milan winger, who is currently on loan at Bayern Munich.
The 31-year-old has made 29 appearances for the German giants, scoring six goals and registering eight assists.
Perisic is said to be happy to stay at Bayern on a permanent basis, and the Bundesliga club are keen to keep him.
Spurs, per the report, made an offer for the Croatia international earlier this week, though they are unlikely to be able to gazump the newly-crowned Bundesliga champions.
Bayern will attempt to receive a discount on his signature, though, with Inter valuing him at €20 million (£17.9m), and that may well leave an opening for the north London giants.
GIVEMESPORT’S Harry Sherlock says…
Perisic isn’t really needed at Tottenham.
The club have a number of wingers already within the squad and Perisic would only be a spare part.
They have the likes of Lucas Moura, Son Heung-Min, Steven Bergwijn, and Erik Lamela and Perisic is 31; he has precious little resale value and is unlikely to improve.
Spurs ought to bow out gracefully here and allow him to move to Bayern.
There are countless better options out there, not least the four already under the club's employ.News Now - Sport News
