Celtic's pursuit of Peterborough forward Ivan Toney has taken an unexpected twist.
The Hoops were first linked with a move for the forward last week when Posh's Barry Fry claimed they'd consider selling the striker for £15m.
At the time, both Rangers and their Old Firm rivals were in the hunt for the League One star. That was until they were joined in the race by West Bromwich Albion.
It was suggested the Baggies were in pole position at the time, dealing a blow to Neil Lennon's hopes of landing Toney. However, there has been another turn in what is starting to become a bit of a transfer saga.
Football Insider claim that Toney's suitors believe they can actually sign him for £5m, £10m less than was originally quoted.
This will come as a boost to cash strapped clubs who could struggle to land big acquisitions in the transfer market following Coronavirus.

The riches that come with promotion to England's top-flight are considerable but with £5m now being the quoted price, it could play right into Celtic's hands.
