Newcastle United have entered the race to sign Ryan Fraser this summer, according to The Guardian.

The Bournemouth man faces an uncertain future after rejecting the offer of an extended deal on the South Coast.

The winger was close to agreeing a move to the Arsenal last summer after an impressive campaign for Bournemouth in which came second in the league's assist chart behind Eden Hazard.

However after a campaign that's been hit by injury it seems that his stock may have fallen.

Fraser is out of contract at the end of the season and so would be available on a free transfer, with a number of top flight clubs said to be keen.

Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur and Everton are among those with an interest, however a move to the North East is bound to be of interest.

GIVEMESPORT'S Phil Spencer says...

It looks set to be a summer of uncertainty for Ryan Fraser.

After narrowly missing out on a move to Arsenal last summer, the Scotland international has endured a frustrating season on the South Coast.

A lack of form has seen the interest from the Premier League's top sides dry up - something which has weakened his hand significantly.

I'm sure that Fraser will still have plenty of interest, however it remains to be seen whether a club challenging for the top four will be among those who express an interest.

The fact that he's available on a free transfer is surely appealing, however the fact that his form has been questionable at best this term is a big concern.
