Leeds United are just three days away from a return to action.

Sunday lunchtime will see the club travel to take on Cardiff City as they look to finish the job that they started in the Championship.

Marcelo Bielsa's side are seven points clear of the play-off spots with just nine games to go, meaning that promotion is very much within reach for the Whites.

That said, there's still plenty of work to do.

The club working hard both on and off the pitch, and these are the biggest stories to come from Elland Road over the last 24 hours.

Leeds United face big competition for Ben White

Leeds United will have to see off competition from the Premier League's biggest clubs if they're to sign Ben White this summer.

According to Football Insider, Manchester United, Liverpool and Leicester City are all said to be keen.

The 22-year-old has been a revelation for Marcelo Bielsa's side this term after being a virtual ever-present in the Championship.

Leeds are firmly on track to secure promotion to the Premier League, and should they get themselves over the line then a move for the centre-back is likely to be a top priority.

Of course the party who have the deciding vote in Ben White's parent club.

The Seagulls are embroiled in a relegation battle in the Premier League, meaning that if they stay up then they may well be a divisional rival of Bielsa's side next term.

Leeds United face competition for Michael Rose

Leeds United have rivals for the signature of Coventry City defender Michael Rose, per Football Insider.

The 24-year-old is being monitored by Marcelo Bielsa’s side ahead of the summer transfer window.

Rose is entering the final 12 months of his contract but Leeds are not the only club monitoring his progress.

Bristol City are also said to be interested, with Rose impressing throughout the season at Coventry.

They are set to jump into the Championship next season after a campaign in which they have lost just three times but it remains to be seen whether he will be playing in the second-tier in 2020/21.

Marcelo Bielsa could be key to signing Juan Foyth

Marcelo Bielsa will be key if Leeds United are to strike a deal for Juan Foyth this summer, according to Alan Hutton.

The Tottenham Hotspur defender is highly-rated in North London but has found regular first team opportunities hard to come by.

That has led to reports from reputable Argentine publication El Dia that Leeds could be readying a move.

It claims that Spurs would be open to letting him leave as he searches for more regular first team opportunities.

Whether that's on a permanent deal or a loan switch, it's claimed that Leeds United are one of the clubs who are tracking his progress.

Speaking to Football Insider, Hutton believes that the influence of Bielsa could be key in getting this deal done.

He said: "It’s a massive club who are looking like they’re going to be a Premier League team.

“It’s always nice – I’ve had it myself – when you go to a team where the manager knows you or you’re from the same country or whatever, you just feel that little bit safer.

“I think it’s something he needs to go and do, he needs to go and play football. Coming in and out of the Tottenham team is not ideal, he’s looked a bit rash at times and whether that’s just him trying too hard, trying to impress.

“To go somewhere where you’re going to play week in, week out, build your confidence and grow as a player I think is absolutely ideal.”
