Leeds United will have to see off competition from the Premier League's biggest clubs if they're to sign Ben White this summer.

According to Football Insider, Manchester United, Liverpool and Leicester City are all said to be keen.

The 22-year-old has been a revelation for Marcelo Bielsa's side this term after being a virtual ever present in the Championship.

Leeds are firmly on track to secure promotion to the Premier League, and should they get themselves over the line then a move for the centre-back is likely to be a top priority.

Of course the party who have the deciding vote in Ben White's parent club.

The Seagulls are embroiled in a relegation battle in the Premier League, meaning that if they stay up then they may well be a divisional rival of Bielsa's side next term.

Speaking about the prospect of Ben White staying with Leeds United, Danny Mills told Football Insider: "Leeds will have doubt when it comes to keeping Ben White.

“Even assuming they get promotion, will Brighton want him back?

“Will Brighton be in the Championship? There is a possible scenario where Leeds come up and Brighton go down but if Brighton stay up they might want him to play for them.

“But it would not surprise me if a big club comes in for him, top-four, top six. I am not sure if he is that good but he could be that good.

“He has been exceptional. He is a good defender and good on the ball so there it would not be a big risk for top clubs.

“Leeds may be in the box seat because the player likes the club but the biggest concern will be about a big, big club coming in for him this summer.”

GIVEMESPORT'S Phil Spencer says...

Signing Ben White would be a huge coup for Leeds United.

The defender has shown that he has all of the attributes to be a top defender in the Premier League.

But it's worth remembering that he's Brighton's player.

The Seagulls will undoubtedly have big plans for the defender, and that means that any club will have to pay a big sum to convince them to sell.
