Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola said he expects Eric Garcia to spend "one or two nights" in hospital after the 19-year-old collided with Ederson in the club's win over Arsenal.Garcia was carried off on a stretcher after Ederson clattered into the Spaniard as he raced off his line in the 80th minute. The teenager, making just his third Premier League start, was immediately taken to hospital with a head injury.“We are concerned about Eric, of course,” Guardiola said afterwards, per Man City’s website.“He is conscious, but he is going to be tested tonight because a kick in the head is always so dangerous.”The incident wasn't replayed on TV many times but footage has emerged showing it in slow motion and it looks a lot worse.

Ouch. Get well soon, Eric.

The injury led to 11 minutes of injury time and it was in that time that Phil Foden sealed Man City's 3-0 win.

Guardiola had been pleased with what he saw from Garcia before he was forced off.

The 19-year-old was a surprise naming in the starting line-up but he didn't look out of place and Guardiola believes there will be many more opportunities for him in the future.

“Eric came back incredibly well,” the City boss added.

“He is so intelligent to guide the line. It was not easy to play against Aubameyang. He is training really well and we tried to work with Juanma and Rodolfo in this period.

“He understands perfectly well. This season, especially in the winter time, he always played good. He doesn’t make mistakes. He is always focused.

“In this game, we knew we were playing dynamic players. He understands the position and the movement.”
