Eden Hazard's highlights from Real Madrid 3-0 Valencia show he's back in form

Eden Hazard grabbed another assist vs Valencia

It's been a tough first season for Eden Hazard at Real Madrid.

After seven trophy-laden years with Chelsea, the Belgian finally secured his dream move to the Spanish capital last summer.

Many saw Hazard as the natural replacement for Cristiano Ronaldo at Los Blancos, but his first season has been nothing short of a nightmare.

Poor form and fitness plagued the start of his career in Spain, before serious ankle injuries derailed his 2019/20 season.

But after the temporary suspension of the Spanish football season due to the coronavirus pandemic, Hazard is back fully fit and he looks a new man in the famous white shirt.

After starring in Real Madrid's 3-1 win against Eibar in the club's first competitive game back, the Belgian was given a starting role once again last night at home to Valencia.

It took the 29-year-old a little while to get going in the Alfredo di Stefano Stadium, but he really came into his own in the second-half.

Hazard grabbed the assist for Karim Benzema's opening goal and throughout the game, the Belgian worked brilliantly in tandem with the French striker.

There were even glimpses of Hazard's trademark dribbling ability, something which disappeared during his first few months in Madrid.

The man looks like he's finally found his feet at the biggest club in world football.

It's a task that many Real Madrid signings find difficult. World-class players like Kaka never ended up finding their feet, that's the harsh nature of playing for Los Blancos.

Hazard's still a far cry from the mesmerising entity that tormented Premier League defenders for years, but he's certainly getting there.

It will take time, for sure, but the Belgian already looks far more comfortable in the jersey in the two games since the restart.
