Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time for PS4 and Xbox One leaks on ratings board

It looks like we’re finally going to get a new Crash Bandicoot game.

Earlier in the year, a Crash Bandicoot mobile game was released but it’s been more than a decade since a console Crash adventure game came out.

That was Mind over Mutant, which featured a redesigned Crash and some naff gameplay.

But the biggest hint yet that a new game is coming soon has arrived with Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time appearing on Taiwan Digital Game Rating Committee.

"Crash is relaxing and exploring his island in his time, 1998, when he finds a mysterious mask hidden away in a cave, Lani-Loli," reads a translated description under the listing.

"The mask is one of the Quantum Masks and apparently knows Aku-Aku, Crash's mask friend! With the Quantum Masks returning and a Quantum Rift appearing near our heroes, they decide to bravely head through to different times and dimensions to stop whoever is responsible."

It looks like the game will land on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

According to the listing, the game is being developed by Toys for Bob. That’s the same studio that led the Spyro remaster development and also helped out with the remasters of Crash Bandicoot games in 2017.

This week GAMINGbible received another hint that a new Crash game is coming when Activision sent them a box which had the message: “A little something to help you pass the TIME - Your favourite Bandicoot”.

Inside was a 200-piece jigsaw puzzle which made up a bizarre-looking mask.

What are Activision teasing? We’ll have to wait and see.

Hopefully it’s not too long before we get official confirmation that a new Crash came is coming this year.

As the leaked title says, it’s about time.
