Manchester United returned to action on Friday evening with a 1-1 draw at Tottenham Hotspur.Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side trailed 1-0 until the 81st minute when Bruno Fernandes equalised from the penalty spot. The Red Devils thought they had a chance to snatch all three points at the death but VAR overturned referee Jon Moss’ decision to award them a penalty after Fernandes went down in the area.David de Gea and Harry Maguire took most of the stick following their involvement in Spurs’ first-half goal, but another player who struggled was Dan James. The Welshman endured a difficult evening, frequently losing possession and failing to create much in attack. It was no surprise when James was replaced by Mason Greenwood in the 62nd minute.A video of James’ performance has now emerged and it explains just why Man United fans believe he isn’t ready to start just yet.James received a four out of 10 rating from the Manchester Evening News, who wrote: "Almost always selected against the elite but did not vindicate his inclusion this time. Never got the measure of Ben Davies and unsurprisingly substituted."And Man United fans weren't impressed, either.

If the 22-year-old is unable to add more skills to his game than just speed, he'll quickly find himself on the bench. There's demand for Greenwood, who has flashed his talent this season, to get more opportunities.

Man United had to come back from 1-0 down to salvage a point but Solskjaer wasn't willing to blame De Gea for failing to keep out Steven Bergwijn's shot in the first half.

"To be fair to Bergwijn it was a very, very good strike and the ball’s moving all over the place," the Man United boss said, per talkSPORT.

“It was a good goal and we’ve seen him score them before.”
