Nicolas Pepe has just scored an absolute beauty for Arsenal away at Brighton.

It's Arsenal's first goal since the restart of the Premier League, with Pepe not even appearing off the bench in the 3-0 loss to Manchester City on Wednesday.

But on his first competitive appearance in three months, the Ivorian winger reminded the footballing world why the Gunners coughed up £72m for his services.

You can watch Pepe's beauty below.

What. A. Hit.

The former Lille man is the master at cutting in from the right and whipping the ball in to the far corner with his left foot.

It's not the first, nor the last, time we'll see Pepe do that in the Premier League!

Sadly for the Gunners, Pepe's strike was not enough to seal what would have been a priceless three points for Mikel Arteta's wounded side.

Pepe's stunner

Brighton's Lewis Dunk was on hand to equalise shortly after, with Neal Maupay then scoring an injury-time winner in a game marred by a serious injury sustained by Arsenal goalkeeper Bernd Leno.

The Gunners remain ninth in the Premier League table and their dream of qualifying for next season's Champions League looks all but over.
