Everton are attempting to sign PSG defender Colin Dagba this summer, per le10sport.

The Toffees are interested in strengthening their backline under manager Carlo Ancelotti this summer.

And Dagba has now emerged as a target, with the report claiming that Everton have identified him as a potential signing.

The 21-year-old has made just seven starts in Ligue 1 thus far this season, and could well leave in search of regular first-team football.

Indeed, Thomas Meunier could leave the club this summer but Dagba has no guarantees of stepping into his position if he does depart.

That could subsequently play a role in his future this summer.

GIVEMESPORT’S Harry Sherlock says…

This could be a steal for Everton.

Dagba is valued at £14.4 million by Transfermarkt and he has yet to really make his mark on the Parc des Princes side.

A France U21 international, he has yet to play over 17 times in Ligue 1 at this stage of his career and he is surely awaiting his big break.

Everton also need a right-back, with Seamus Coleman now 31 and Djibril Sidibe set to head back to Ligue 1 once his loan spell ends.

Dagba, then, appears to be a sensible, cost-effective signing.

This is a deal that the Toffees should try to complete.
