Arsenal's 2019/20 season was left in tatters yesterday on the south coast of England.Mikel Arteta's side travelled to the Amex Stadium to face Brighton in a game they simply had to win after losing 3-0 to Manchester City on Wednesday. What happened? They spontaneously combusted and Neal Maupay played the role of pantomime villain to devastating effect.Brighton's French striker was involved in a first-half incident which saw Arsenal 'keeper Bernd Leno pick up a serious knee injury.Nicolas Pepe then put Arsenal in front, before Lewis Dunk drew the sides level with just over 15 minutes to play. Then, in a moment which sums up Arsenal Football Club in recent years, Maupay struck in the 95th-minute to seal all three points. This was then followed by a clash with Matteo Guendouzi at full-time.It's hard to envisage a moment that reflects the phrase 'going full Arsenal' better than yesterday's events, but we've decided to run through 10 more from the 2019/20 season that run it mighty close.

David Luiz vs Man City

We'll start with one fresh in the mind. After his calamitous display away at Chelsea where he was sent off and gave away a penalty, Luiz went one better on the Premier League's return night.

The Brazilian gifted City their opening goal just before half-time, before proceeding to give away a penalty and get sent off early in the second-half.

Injury crisis after 20 mins vs Man City

Another incident from that City game and it's so Arsenal we had to analyse it separately from Luiz's ineptness.

Pablo Mari and Granit Xhaka both picked up serious looking ankle injuries early on against the reigning Premier League champions, plunging the club into an injury crisis after three months off. It does beg the question; is the club cursed?

Xhaka being jeered vs Crystal Palace

Jeering your own player and provoking a reaction from him? Arsenal in a nutshell. The images of Xhaka strolling off the pitch that day will forever haunt the Gunners.

The Swiss apologised on social media, while also revealing the abuse he and his family had been subjected to by Arsenal fans.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang's miss vs Olympiakos

Siri, define Arsenal Football Club for me please? Ah yes, this miss from their star striker, glorious.

Had he scored he would have spared Arteta's blushes and sent Arsenal through to the next round of the Europa League. Instead, the normally lethal striker fired wide when it looked easier to score. You just couldn't write this stuff.

Watford 2-2 Arsenal

When Arsenal strolled into a 2-0 lead at Vicarage Road thanks to a brace from Aubameyang, all looked fine and dandy.

But then the Hornets came roaring back, mustering 31 shots - a club record in the Premier League - and rescuing a 2-2 draw. The game that really was beginning of the end for Unai Emery.

Emery playing Lucas Torreira at No.10 over Mesut Ozil

Speaking of Emery, we move on to the Spanish manager's bizarre decision to play Torreira as a number 10 at the expense of Ozil.

The Uruguayan was brilliant in the holding role in 2018/19, but Emery decided to tinker and even brought Torreira on to play number 10 when Arsenal were 2-1 down to Eintracht Frankfurt, which unsurprisingly was his last game as manager.

Emery & Torreira

The signing of Cedric Soares

Denis Suarez's loan signing in January 2019 was a complete mess. Amazingly. Arsenal managed to top that disaster just one year later.

Cedric was injured when he signed and when he was supposedly fully fit for the Premier League restart, he broke his nose in training. It almost beggars belief...

Leno's mistake vs Chelsea

We feel harsh poking fun at Leno. After all, he's easily been Arsenal's best player this season.

Which is why his mistake against Chelsea was so typically Arsenal. Arteta's side were playing well and defending a 1-0 lead, so what does the German do? Drops an absolute clanger to gift Jorginho an equaliser. Seven minutes later, Tammy Abraham scored to make it 2-1.

Alexandre Lacazette not celebrating vs Southampton

Emery was already a dead man walking by this point and Lacazette's refusal to celebrate a 96th-minute equaliser summed up the situation perfectly.

The Emirates was not a great place to be that November afternoon...

Scoring five goals at Anfield, only to still lose

Fans wanted Emery to play attacking football, so he did. They scored five against Liverpool at Anfield in the Carabao Cup and guess what? They still managed to go out on penalties.

Divock Origi scored in the final minute of the game to take it to a shootout as well after a Joe Willock stunner looked to have settled matters.

So there you have it and it's ridiculous that these 10 moments have happened to once club in less than 12 months.

The task Arteta has on his hands to turn Arsenal around is absolutely gargantuan. Right now, it looks unachievable...
