60 – The Last of Us Remastered - Metascore: 95 - Platform: PlayStation 4

The Last of Us was redesigned for the PlayStation 4 and features higher resolution character models. You end up playing as Joel, a violent survivor of a pandemic who is hired to smuggle a 14-year-old girl Ellie out of a military quarantine zone across the USA.

59 – Persona 5 Royal – Metascore: 95 – Platform: PlayStation 4

An RPG title that allows you to explore Tokyo, unlock new Personas and customise your own persona. Once your persona is created you can join the Phantom Thieves of Hearts to stage grand heists.

58 – Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 2 – Metascore: 95 – Platform: GameBoy Advance

Everyone’s favourite skating game features again in this list. Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 2 was the world’s first 3D handheld skater game and it certainly didn’t disappoint, incorporating numerous tricks and a variety of terrains.

57 – Madden NFL 2003 – Metascore: 95 – Platform: PlayStation 2

EA Sport’s Madden NFL also makes another appearance in this list. The inclusion of an all-new in-depth Franchise Mode certainly made this a terrific addition to the series.

56 – The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess – Metascore: 95 – Platform: Wii

Another of Nintendo’s classic characters is next up. The farm boy known as Link must travel to the Twilight Realm to help a mysterious girl named Midna. This adventure title is certainly an absorbing experience, especially when you add in the use of the Wii control and Nunchuk to complete sword attacks.

A Link to the Past is a revival of an SNES (Super Nintendo Entertainment Console) title, which requires Link to defeat fierce monsters in the Light and Dark World. This game also enables you to play with up three other players.

Master Chief once again has to prevent the Covenant Alien race from destroying all of human kind.

51 – Grand Turismo 3: A-Spec – Metascore: 95 – Platform: PlayStation 2

This racing title featured a wide range of impressive cars such as Vipers and Cooper Minis as well as an impressive collection of soundtracks from Lenny Kravtiz to Jimi Hendrix.

50 – Red Dead Redemption – Metascore: 95 – Platform: PlayStation 3

Rockstar’s Red Dead Redemption is the sequel to the 2004 hit game Read Dead Revolver. Set in the turn of the 20th century, it is widely considered a western epic and incorporates much Wild West and gun slinging action.

49 – The Legend of Zelda Collector’s Edition – Metascore: 95 – Platform: GameCube

This collector’s edition includes four Zelda games on one disk. The Legend of Zelda, Zelda II – the adventure of Link, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time and The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask as well as a Playable Demo of the Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker.

48 – LittleBigPlanet – Metascore: 95 – Platform: PlayStation 3

Players meet on blue and green planet to use their character’s unique abilities to play, create and share what they build with other gamers.

47 – Grand Theft Auto: Vice City – Metascore: 95 – Platform: PlayStation 2

Metacritic’s 2002 PS2 Game of the Year is set in the 1980s. The player takes control of the character Tommy Vercetti with the ultimate goal of taking over Vice City.

46 – Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas – Metascore: 95 – Platform: PlayStation 2

The follow up to Vice City – San Andreas was awarded Metacritic’s 2004 PS2 Game of the Year. The game is now set in the early 90s and you control the character Carl Johnson, who is seeking to save his family and take control of the streets in San Andreas.

45 – Baldur’s Gate II: Shadow of Amn – Metascore: 95 – Platform: PC

Set in the southern portion of the Sword Coast, Baldur’s Gate II now includes 300 spells and a staggering 130 plus monsters, which is double the amount incorporated in the previous game.

44 – The Last Part of Us Part II – Metascore: 96 – Platform: PlayStation 4

Five years have past since the previous game - both Ellie and Joel have now settled down in Jackson following their dangerous journey across the USA. A violent event, however, disrupts the peace and Ellie subsequently needs to begin a journey to carry out justice.
