Tottenham have reportedly held talks over the potential signing of Real Betis teenager Fabio Lopes.

The 18-year-old midfielder is also been tracked by Marseille and Stuttgart after impressing onlooking scouts with his displays for the Segunda Division side.

Lopes' father has since confirmed that Spurs and the aforementioned European duo were indeed interested in his son.

"There were conversations with those clubs," Adolfo Lopes confirmed."

"Fabio is training very well and therefore it's obvious that he is approached by different clubs, but for now, he continues to focus on the objectives of Betis, which won the Junior Championship title."

Whether or not Tottenham can seal a deal for the Portuguese remains to be seen, but the completion of a transfer would represent quite a coup for the White Hart Lane club.

Regardless, Spurs are expected to invest heavily in their squad in the summer in order to make sure Champions League football is a regular occurrence at White Hart Lane.
