The greatest possible news for a Monday morning has emerged... a new Crash Bandicoot game is coming!
The much-anticipated return of the series is officially revealed with the title ‘Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time’.
Their official Twitter account announced that there will be an official reveal at 4PM BST today (June 22).
They also acknowledged the leaked footage that emerged last week, and promised fans that the official reveal will be better than what has been leaked.
This will be the first all new Crash adventure that we have patiently been waiting for with the last true entry of the series being way back in 2008 with ‘Mind Over Mutant’.
Many fans will be hoping for a better return to form for Crash as that edition of the game was widely regarded as the worst by most fans of the franchise.
With the title of the game including ‘4’, you have to assume that this is going to be a continuation of the series and a return that will most definitely be welcomed by Crash fans worldwide.
It’s set to be in good hands, though, as it is being developed by Toy’s For Bob, which is the same company that developed the Spyro remasters, another childhood classic.
The games looks set for a nostalgic feel to it as the plot for the game is based around Crash being able to travel through time, with him starting in 1998, the year of the first instalment of the series.
Crash stumbles across a mask that allows him to travel through time where he will be encountered by plenty of familiar faces to the game along the way.
There will undoubtedly be plenty of references to the previous games to really throw us back instantly to our childhood.
