Real Madrid and Sergio Ramos have both been at their very best since La Liga's restart.
Last night against Real Sociedad, Los Blancos secured a pivotal 2-1 win at the Anoeta, with their inspirational captain converting the opening goal from the penalty spot.
It's Ramos' second goal in three games since the resumption of competitive football in Spain, taking his overall 2019/20 tally to seven in 28 La Liga appearances.
Whether you love or hate Real Madrid's bearded defensive warrior, you simply cannot deny that he's one of the greatest defenders of all-time.
His performances at the back this season have seen Los Blancos concede just 21 goals in 30 league games.
But it's going forward where he sets himself apart from the rest. His perfect penalty against Sociedad took Ramos to 68 La Liga goals, officially making him the highest-scoring defender in the division's history.
The Spaniard is now one clear of Barcelona legend Ronald Koeman in the rankings and you just know the 34-year-old will be eyeing up a century of La Liga strikes before he retires.
To celebrate his phenomenal achievement, Real Madrid tweeted out a short video of Ramos' best goals for the club, which you can watch below.
Towering headers, striker-like finishes, a Cristiano Ronaldo-esque free-kick and even a bicycle kick all feature in a mighty impressive compilation.
But Ramos is far from the first goal-scoring defender in Real Madrid's history.
Los Blancos legend Fernando Hierro was something of a trailblazer in that department, with the iconic Spaniard scoring 105 La Liga goals in total.
Now you're probably thinking; surely the record is his, no? Well, not exactly.
A hefty chunk of Hierro's goals came when he played in midfield during the early years of his career, including 21 in a single La Liga season back in 1991/92.
So don't worry, Sergio, the record is yours!
