A video clip of The Undertaker saying 'Kobe' when throwing away his glove has taken Twitter by storm, as fans fondly remember former basketball star Kobe Bryant.

"The Phenom" has just called time on his remarkable career which has spanned over three decades, as he became one of the best-known faces in WWE.

The franchise has gone from strength to strength with The Undertaker as one of its leading figures, and the final chapter of his journey has drawn widespread attention courtesy of "The Last Ride" documentary.

Before bowing out, The Undertaker paid homage to Bryant, nonchalantly saying 'Kobe' mid-sentence as he tossed away his glove following his latest WWE appearance.

During his 20-year career at the LA Lakers, Bryant achieved iconic status, winning five NBA championships and two NBA Finals MVP awards in his decorated career.

His level of fame rose throughout the 2000s, leading to children yelling "Kobe" when throwing a paper ball into the bin, in tribute to Bryant's textbook jump-shot.

The latest clip of The Undertaker proves that Bryant's appeal reached far further than just aspiring school children.

Bryant retired from the sport back in 2016, and is currently the fourth-highest points scorer in the history of the NBA, sandwiched in between fellow icons LeBron James and Michael Jordan in the rankings.

In January 2020, the ever-popular Bryant tragically passed away in a helicopter crash at the age of 41, with his death sparking an outpouring of emotion across the globe.

Yet Bryant's legacy certainly lives on, and this latest clip of The Undertaker honouring him serves as a timely reminder that he is gone but far from forgotten.

How cool is it that even The Undertaker shouts 'Kobe' when trying to make a shot... he's just like the rest of us!
