Leeds United face a huge summer as they face the prospect of preparing for a return to the Premier League.

While promotion isn't yet secured, it seems that they'll be looking to sign some players to help them adapt to life in the top tier.

One of those players could be Emi Buendia.

According to Read Norwich, the Whites have made a move for the Norwich City star.

The Canaries face an uncertain future in the top flight after struggling to adapt to life in the Premier League.

Daniel Farke's side are currently six points from safety with just eight games remaining, but with a lack of form behind them it is difficult to see where their next win could come from.

Leeds will be looking for players with experience of the top flight, and Buendia is one who has shown his capability of playing at that level.

While failing to get on the scoresheet, the 23-year-old has racked up seven appearances for the Canaries.

GIVEMESPORT'S Phil Spencer says...

This could be a smart move for Leeds United.

Emi Buendia has been one of the few shining lights for Norwich City so far this term, and looks perfectly at home in the Premier League.

If the Canaries get relegated, it's hard to see the 23-year-old dropping down to the Championship.

He's far too good to play at that level, and in my opinion, deserves another opportunity to make a name for himself at the highest level.

A move to Elland Road could be the perfect place to do that, and should Leeds get promoted, this is one that could be exciting to see.
