Juventus have agreed a £72.5m fee with Barcelona to sign Arthur, according to Sky Sports. The 23-year-old signed a six-year contract at Barca in the summer of 2018, after signing from Gremio for an initial £27 million. The midfielder played 27 times in La Liga in his debut campaign, failing to score. This season, he's played 19 times in the league, scoring three times. He's also been capped for his country on 20 occasions. But now, Juve have decided to spend big on him despite the coronavirus pandemic seemingly hitting every club in world football financially.

After Juve's 2-0 victory against Bologna on Monday night, the club's director Fabio Paratici said Arthur has to be "convinced" about joining the club after admitted talks are in progress.

"We have spoken frequently with Barcelona, but at this moment all the teams are playing important games, so we preferred to bypass this period," Paratici told Sky Sport Italia.

"It's not about June 30, before or after, but about finding an agreement between the various parties, and both players have to be convinced. Therefore, it's not an issue about dates."

Well, it seems Arthur has now been convinced and the two clubs have reached an agreement over a fee.
