Ten weeks. That's how long the Newcastle takeover saga has been going on for now. When Muhammed Bin Salman and PIF first arrived on the scene, few would have believed that it would take this long for everything to sort itself out.Currently, they are staring down the barrel of the Premier League's owner's and director's test but we have still received no news as to whether that'll go through.People have speculated in recent days as to when it might be completed, but fresh information has now been delivered from the Athletic. Will the deal finally be completed? It could well be very soon. That's the word of journalist George Caulkin, anyway, who took to Twitter bright and early on Wednesday morning to share what he'd recently been told.Caulkin has often been the go-to man throughout the takeover and once again, he came up clutch with some vital information.AshleyResponding to a fan's question, he claimed that it's "coming very soon" in a rather exciting update about PIF's £300m attempts to buy the club from Mike Ashley.Taking to Twitter, he stated:

When the takeover will be formally completed as been speculated for what feels like weeks, but there is a real sense it may now soon be completed.

GIVEMESPORT'S Matt Dawson says...

Finally.

After two and a half painstaking months, Newcastle fans could finally get their wish of Mike Ashley leaving the club.

And what better time for it to go through after the Magpies cruised past Sheffield United 3-0 last weekend.

PIF may have come under controversy because of piracy of sporting events in their country but it's hard to deny that their takeover of the club wouldn't be a good thing.

As one expert on Saudi Arabia stated this week, they are meticulous when it comes to long-term policies, while the sheer volume of fans they could gain from the Middle East would be an imperious sign - particularly from a financial standpoint.

Although PIF currently have no say in transfers, their imminent arrival could lead to some big signings too. Philippe Coutinho, Kai Havertz and Harry Kane have all been linked with rather sensational moves.

Yet, that only feels like a distant dream until they walk through the door at St James' Park.
