Takefusa Kubo is one of football's most exciting young talents.

The Japanese starlet has spent the 2019/20 season on loan at RCD Mallorca from Real Madrid and he's certainly thrived on the Balearic Islands.

In his 28 La Liga appearances, the 19-year-old has scored three goals and assisted three more, but it's his dazzling displays of dribbling that have really caught the eye.

Kubo played the full 90 minutes for Mallorca last night in their 2-0 loss away at Real Madrid and while his current side tasted defeat, the Japanese will certainly have impressed those watching from his parent club.

The teenager completed 10 dribbles and was fouled five times, the most of any player on the pitch.

There was also a moment in the game when Kubo made both Sergio Ramos and Ferland Mendy look like rank amateurs - which has not been an easy thing to do this season.

The way he glides past both like they're not even there is reminiscent of a young Lionel Messi.

Had his shot found a way past Thibaut Courtois, we would have been talking about one of the goals of the season.

Zinedine Zidane and his coaching staff will have been mighty impressed with Kubo's overall performance last night.

The tricky part will be trying to shoehorn the Japanese forward into a Real Madrid squad already loaded with exciting young forwards.

Vinicius Junior, Rodrygo Goes, Brahim Diaz, Marco Asensio and Reinier Jesus will all be competing for minutes in Zidane's first-team next season.

Kubo with Real Madrid

Does Kubo have a chance? Judging by his performances in La Liga with Mallorca, you have to feel he'll be high up the pecking order in 2020/21.

However, there will also be top clubs desperate to pry Kubo away from the Spanish capital due to both his prodigious talent on the pitch and appeal to major marketing brands across the globe.

AS report that Paris Saint-Germain have already stated their interest in the player, but for the moment both Kubo and Real Madrid are determined to maintain their relationship.

His buyout clause stands at a mere €250m...
