Philippe Coutinho looks set to be one of the big talking points of the summer transfer window.
The midfielder is available after being deemed surplus to requirements by Barcelona.
A number of clubs are said to be interested in a move for the Brazilian - most notably Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United - who is reported to be available for a cut-price fee of £44.5million.
The Spanish side would also entertain a player-plus-cash deal in order to cut their losses on Coutinho, who cost them around £142million.
That's certainly something that could be of interest to Spurs.
According to The Mirror, Barcelona are preparing to offer Coutinho to Jose Mourinho's side in exchange for Tanguy Ndombele.
The Spurs midfielder has fallen out of favour under the Portuguese manager, leading to speculation over his future.
The Spanish giants are known to be keen admirers of his, and could be looking to use the former Liverpool man as bait to get a deal done.
Whether a deal would be plausible for Tottenham, however, remains to be seen.
Alasdair Gold of Football London had recently been discussing the prospect of signing Philippe Coutinho in a Q&A session.
While he admits that the playmaker is 'a terrific player', he believes that the finances would get in the way of any deal.
Writing for Football London, Gold said: "I struggle to see (Philippe) Coutinho coming to Spurs because of the finances.
"Terrific player but feels like agent talk as Barcelona desperately need funds.
"Spurs don't want to sell (Tanguy) Ndombele this summer and (Toby) Alderweireld just signed a new deal.
"Only way I can see it happening is if late on, Coutinho and Barca can't find a suitable destination to satisfy them both & Levy goes in with a late, low bid or loan."

The future remains unclear for Philippe Coutinho who could be set for a big summer.
His move to Barcelona certainly hasn't gone to plan, and after a mediocre spell on loan with Bayern Munich this term, it certainly feels like his stock has fallen.
But that could play into the hands of a number of Premier League sides.
The fact that he's available for just £45million could prove to be something of a coup for a player who is very much in his prime.
Coutinho has plenty to offer, and personally I think it'd be great to see him back in the Premier League.
