Barcelona and Juventus have reached an agreement over a swap deal involving Arthur Melo and Miralem Pjanic.Journalist Fabrizio Romano has confirmed the news that the two will indeed be swapping clubs this summer, with Barca receiving an extra €10m as well as Pjanic.Romano posted to his followers: "Arthur has accepted Juventus bid! He’s going to join Juventus on a swap deal - Miralem Pjanic (+ €10M) to Barcelona as part of the agreement. Last details to be resolved and then here we go!"
Arthur was reportedly reluctant to accept Juve's advances but finally accepted after the Blaugrana made it clear that they were keen to get him off their books.
The Brazilian signed for Barcelona back in the summer of 2018 and after initially impressing following his move from Gremio, the Brazilian has seen his career regress out in Spain.
His form since the restart of the La Liga season has been nothing short of woeful and Barca fans have been growing increasingly frustrated by his performances.
The Barca board will no doubt be buoyant that they're getting a world-class player in Pjanic to replace him, as well as a tidy cash sum.
Pjanic has fallen out of favour at times under Mauzirio Sarri this season, but there's no doubting that on his day the Bosnian is one of the best midfielders on the planet.
