Fowler arrives at Bury

Robbie Fowler is to spend a week coaching at Bury, assisting caretaker manager Richie Barker.

The former Liverpool, Leeds and Manchester City striker, who enjoyed a similar short spell coaching MK Dons earlier in the campaign, is set to join Barker in the dugout for Tuesday's home game with Burton.


A statement from the promotion-chasing League Two outfit said: "During his week with the Shakers, all the clubs strikers will spend time with Robbie sharpening their shooting boots for the final six games."

It added: "The club are very grateful to Robbie for offering his help, and we hope that some of his talent rubs off on the players for the last month of the season."
