Leeds United's return to football has been a whirlwind.Though, when were things ever easy at Elland Road? They received a gut-wrenching 2-0 defeat at the hands of Cardiff last weekend, pushing them down to second in the table. What made it worse was losing Tyler Roberts to injury and playing badly with Pablo Hernandez out of the side. With a clash against Fulham to come on Saturday, having the dynamic duo back could be vital, especially if the Whites want to secure promotion as quickly as possible. So, what if they back in contention for the game against the Cottagers?According to manager Marcelo Bielsa, that may be the case, after the Argentine revealed some positive news during his Thursday press conference.BielsaSpeaking to the nation's press, he confirmed that Roberts had indeed recovered from the injury he sustained against the Bluebirds. However, he also suggested Hernandez could be in contention, claiming he's trained all week.

This will come as hugely positive news, especially for a team lacking depth off the bench last weekend.

GIVEMESPORT'S Matt Dawson says...

Had Leeds not been able to field either Roberts or Hernandez against Fulham, it would have been a humungous blow to their hopes.

After all, Mateusz Klich failed to provide a single key pass versus Cardiff, leading to a performance that wasn't the best creatively.

Hernandez is renowned for being a creative force, laying on six assists this term and 12 last season, but it's evident they miss him when he's not playing.

As for Roberts, the dynamic attacker was in impressive form before the break for Covid-19.

The Welshman has had a troubled time with injury in 2019/20 but found the back of the net twice against Hull three games ago.

He may struggle for consistency but there is an energetic player there, one that may have been able to prevent defeat last weekend if he wasn't suffering from cramp and a lack of fitness.

This period will have been hard on a host of footballers but for one who had finally regained his place in the side before the break, it will have impacted Roberts even more.

They will need him at his best on Saturday.
