Arsenal need to revamp their squad this summer.

The Gunners have struggled throughout this campaign and, prior to their clash with Southampton in the Premier League on Thursday, sat in the bottom half of the Premier League table.

However, it seems that plans are afoot to strengthen the squad and bring in some added depth to Mikel Arteta’s squad.

Indeed, French journalist Manu Lonjon has been reporting on the future of RB Salzburg winger Dominik Szoboszlai.

Just 19, he has already made 58 appearances for Salzburg, scoring 15 goals and registering 22 assists, while also winning eight caps for Hungary.

This season, he has scored seven times, with 12 assists to his name.

Lonjon reports that French giants PSG have asked about his availability in the summer transfer window.

But the juice of his tweets comes in the replies, where he was asked whether Arsenal were interested too.

Lonjon replied that both the Gunners and AC Milan were “well advanced” in their bid to sign the teenager, who has become something of a wonderkid during his time in Austria.

A versatile talent who can play in central midfield or on the left or the right flank, he is clearly drawing admiring glances.

GIVEMESPORT’S Harry Sherlock says…

A move for Szoboszlai would only reinforce the belief that Arteta is looking to build around young talent.

He has placed faith in Bukayo Saka, while also giving minutes to the likes of Joe Willock and Gabriel Martinelli.

Bringing in Szoboszlai would be placing even more faith in youth but, at the age of 19, he has plenty of experience under his belt.

He is a full international and a star for his club; if the deal can be done for a reasonable price, the Gunners ought to jump at it.

Lonjon has reported that he would cost between €25 million (£22.6m) and €30m (£27.1m).
