Xherdan Shaqiri hasn’t played as often as he would have liked this season, but scoring against Everton back in December was a highlight for the Swiss midfielder.

Best performance: Manchester United 1-1 Liverpool, October 20 (Rating: 7.03)

If that late equaliser at Old Trafford is to be Adam Lallana’s final goal for Liverpool, that’s not a bad way to bow out.

The 19-year-old has only played 20 minutes of Premier League football, so take his rating with a pinch of salt.

The same applies to Harvey Elliott, who has an extremely bright future ahead of him.

Best performance: Liverpool 5-2 Everton, December 4 (Rating: 9.22)

Liverpool’s best performer this season, according to WhoScored, Sadio Mane has been nothing short of magnificent. The Senegalese forward provided two assists and scored against the Toffees in December.

It’s been another excellent campaign from the Egyptian king, who scored two second-half goals against Southampton in February.

Divock Origi hasn’t scored as many goals as he would have liked this season, but he still managed to net a brace against Everton.
