This summer is looking like it'll be an incredibly busy one for Celtic.

Neil Lennon has already spoken out numerous times, first about the future of Odsonne Edouard, and then about Fraser Forster and Mohamed Elyounoussi.

The former has been linked with multiple moves away but Lennon is keen to renew his contract.

It's the same story for the on loan Southampton duo. Both Forster and Elyounoussi are back in training with the Hoops but their spells are set to come to an end when June passes.

Both players, though, are ones Lennon wants to keep around.

Another player he'll want to keep is Kristoffer Ajer. Linked with Leicester and AC Milan, it'll be difficult to keep hold of the defender if large bids come in.

It could be a familiar story for the Bhoys who are used to see some of their star players exit for south of the border.

Though, in today's news round-up, it features a story suggesting Celtic could be the ones raiding England instead.

Joe Hart interest

Speaking of goalkeepers, Celtic are in the market for a number this summer - that's if they fail to bring Forster back.

Vasilis Barkas has been the subject of interest according to Greek outlet Sdna but they face competition from Leeds and Rangers.

Though, fresh claims seem to suggest that if Forster doesn't arrive, they'll go after Joe Hart instead.

Currently with Burnley, the player's contract expires at the end of the month. The former England stopper has refused an extended deal with the Clarets and will, therefore, be available on a free transfer.

Hart has had a rocky few years after falling out of favour at Manchester City when Pep Guardiola arrived. He went on loan to Torino but after signing for Burnley, has again struggled for regular football.

The 33-year-old has played just three times all term, letting in seven goals in the process.

Although his performances have declined, a place like Celtic presents a chance for Hart to rejuvenate himself.

One sticking point, however, could be the player's wages. At Turf Moor, Hart has been earning £45,000-a-week.

Roberts tipped to re-sign

It feels like a long time ago since Patrick Roberts set foot at Parkhead in a Celtic shirt.

The 23-year-old played for the Hoops across three seasons, enduring an injury-hit spell in parts but thriving under the stewardship of Brendan Rodgers.

Roberts played 78 times for the Bhoys in all competitions, registering 18 goals and 26 assists but two years on, he's now being tipped to return to Glasgow.

That's the word of Frank McAvennie who in an interview with Football Insider, suggested he could return in the not too distant future.

He stated: "The fans would love to see him back though because he was a wonderful player.

“I wouldn’t rule out bringing him back. He did very well at Celtic and he loved it."

Currently rated at just £2.5m and unwanted at Man City following numerous loan spells away, he could well be available on the cheap.

The winger's latest career move was a temporary stay with Middlesbrough in the English Championship.

Financial boost

The Coronavirus pandemic has wreaked havoc with people's lives all around the globe.

However, it's also hugely impacted the world of sport and football, particularly from a financial point of view.

Clubs have missed out on months of matchday revenue, losing a huge source of their regular income.

However, in Scotland, charitable donations have been made in order to try and keep teams afloat.

Being the wealthiest club in Scotland, Celtic are unlikely to need it as much as some, but every little helps.

Following a £3m pledge from James Anderson earlier this month, a mystery donor has now granted clubs in Scotland another sum.

This time, a total of £1.25m will be split between clubs in order to help their cash flow.

The anonymous supporter has made an initial £625,000 donation with teams set to receive another payment of £625,000 in June of next year.

SPFL Trust Chief Executive Nicky Reid declared: "When James Anderson said he believed that his donation would be the start of something, he was absolutely true to his word. James has brought forward someone else whose donation and future commitment will make a significant difference to the lives of so many."

Positive signs indeed.
