20. Liverpool 2-0 Sheffield United | January 2, 2020

Sheffield United have shown their worth this season but they were no match for Liverpool, with Salah opening the score early on and Mane adding a second in the second period.

19. Liverpool 1-0 Wolverhampton Wanderers | December 29, 2019

There was plenty of VAR controversy in this one.

VAR reviewed a potential handball before Mane’s goal in the first half, and it then disallowed a Wolves equaliser for a marginal offside.

Liverpool benefited from the technology on this day.

18. Sheffield United 0-1 Liverpool | September 28, 2019

Liverpool showed that winners make their own luck with they defeated Sheffield United at Bramall Lane last year.

The game was 0-0 when, in the 70th minute, Dean Henderson spilled a tame shot by Georginio Wijnaldum over the line.

17. Burnley 0-3 Liverpool | August 31, 2019

This game was slightly overshadowed by Mane’s reaction after being substituted.

The Senegalese forward made a gesture to the bench and continued to show his frustration as he sat down, apparently angered by Salah’s decision not to pass to him in the penalty area.

All of this in a 3-0 win away from home…

16. Bournemouth 0-3 Liverpool | December 7, 2019

Liverpool’s unbeaten run was extended to 33 league games with a comfortable win at Bournemouth.

15. Liverpool 4-0 Southampton | February 1, 2020

Liverpool had to wait until the second half to break the deadlock but the floodgates quickly opened.

Oxlade-Chamberlain, Jordan Henderson and Salah (2) grabbed the goals as Liverpool opened up a 22-point lead at the top of the table.

14. Liverpool 3-1 Arsenal | August 24, 2019

Liverpool and Arsenal were the only teams with 100% records when they met at Anfield last August, but there was a noticeable gulf in class.

Salah scored twice to add to Joel Matip’s first-half header as Liverpool outclassed their opponents.

13. Tottenham Hotspur 0-1 Liverpool | January 11, 2020

“This is the best team in the world.”

That was Jose Mourinho’s admission after his Tottenham side were beaten by Liverpool for the second time in the season, with Roberto Firmino scoring with a thumping finish in the first half.

12. Liverpool 2-1 Tottenham Hotspur | October 27, 2019

Liverpool were put under pressure when Harry Kane scored for Spurs within 48 seconds of kick-off.

But they turned things around, with Henderson equalising shortly after half-time and Salah converting a penalty with 15 minutes remaining.

Henderson later credited the Reds’ “improved mentality” for the win, and he was right.

This result showed that Klopp’s men had what it took to go all the way.

11. Wolves 1-2 Liverpool | January 23, 2020

Nuno Espirito Santo’s side gave Liverpool a real test at Molineux, but the Reds found a way to win.

Raul Jimenez glanced home an Adama Traore cross in the second half and Liverpool were suddenly under severe pressure.

But they stayed resolute, prevented Wolves from scoring again and, with six minutes remaining, scored a winner through Firmino.

They’re called mentality monsters for a reason.
