Jordan Henderson is a Premier League winning captain.

The former Sunderland midfielder has proved many doubters wrong to become a proper captain at Anfield.

Inheriting the armband from Steven Gerrard was never going to be easy but Henderson has ridden the wave and is now English, European and World champion.

Those 'Jordan Horenderson’ shouts have been silenced.

In fact, Henderson has become so successful at Liverpool that he’s established his very own trophy lift technique.

Last season when the Reds won the Champions League, Henderson produced a shuffle before lifting Liverpool’s sixth European Cup. It’s something we saw when Liverpool went on to win the Super Cup and World Club Cup.

We'll be seeing it when Henderson eventually gets his hands on the Premier League trophy - something he’s expected to do in Liverpool’s penultimate home game against Chelsea.

Before that, though, Henderson has been celebrating Liverpool’s title win following Chelsea’s 2-1 win over Manchester City on Thursday.

It must have been some party in their hotel as they watched themselves be confirmed as champions.

Videos have since emerged giving us the glimpse of what it was like while Jurgen Klopp has given the odd interview to keep the TV companies happy.

But now, the captain of the club has spoken out to explain what it really feels like.

The Reds skipper tweeted: 'Wow. What a 24 hours! Being able to celebrate together as a team last night is something we'll all not forget.

"However I want to send a message too to all of you, our amazing fans. It is a true privilege and an honour to represent and captain your great club," he wrote.

"We know it's been a long wait but to all of you Reds, this one is for you. When the time is right, we can't wait to celebrate with you all.

"Thank you for always believing in us. Now we must focus on the next seven games and finish the season as strongly as we can before we get to lift that trophy.

"To each and every Liverpool fan out there, You’ll Never Walk Alone."

Beautiful.

It may not be the perfect way to win the title but Henderson will be lifting that trophy in a couple of weeks and there’s nothing anything can do about it.
