WWE will consider closing the NXT UK brand, following the Speaking Out movement that has had a massive impact on the British wrestling scene.
The promotion was established back in 2016 and has grown into a popular product, boasting an impressive roster of up and coming talent.
However, a number of NXT UK performers have been accused of sexual misconduct in recent weeks, with the #SpeakingOut movement shining a light on a number of incidents.
WWE have already taken action by releasing Travis Banks and El Ligero - but it's reported by Tom Colohue of SportsKeeda that more names are under investigation.
Action will no doubt be taken to rid NXT UK of all offenders and multiple sources have told the website that the brand could soon be closed.
Per Colohue, if that is to happen, most of the remaining NXT UK talent will simply be moved to NXT, padding out the numbers as more established stars move on to SmackDown and RAW.
While the Speaking Out movement is a big factor in the British promotion closing, it's also reported that others are at play.
Vince McMahon is said to be upset with the financial drain of keeping NXT UK going, especially as they can't offer a new product during the coronavirus crisis.
Also, despite being fairly popular amongst British fans, it's apparently been unprofitable aside from TakeOver events for a while now, with normal tapings failing to attract big audiences.
NXT UK, of course, has always been considered a stepping stone for British wrestlers to reach WWE.
Over the past four years, it has served its purpose, with the likes of Pete Dunne, Toni Storm, Trent Seven and Tyler Bate making appearances state-side.
Should the promotion close, as recent reports suggest, it will be a big shame.
But due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic and the Speaking Out movement, WWE may find themselves with no alternative.
