Rangers and Steven Gerrard have a huge task on their hands to bring the title to Ibrox next season.
The Gers made a good fist of things before the New Year, challenging Celtic well. However, 2020 has so far been a year to forget.
They eventually fell 13 points behind their fiercest rivals and had to watch the Hoops lift the league for a ninth successive season.
Gerrard will largely be judged on Rangers' ability to beat Celtic and in that regard, he has failed so far.
Perhaps a summer transfer window will help his cause?
The Gers have been linked with some interesting switches in recent weeks with Lyndon Dykes and Rhian Brewster tipped with potential moves.
However, none have been more interesting than quotes gathered on Friday.
Speaking in the Scottish Sun, Derek Parlane suggested that a Premier League legend should join the Light Blues.
The player in question was James Milner, someone at Gerrard's former club, Liverpool.
Parlane was speaking about whether the Rangers boss had what it takes to be successful, and claimed that a player like Milner could help change his fortunes.
He said: "They need people like Milner. Someone who has been there and done it.
"At the age of 34, he is still one of the fittest players in the Premier League and he is exactly what Rangers need. He is an absolute machine and he has such a strong mentality.
"He is a proven winner and a few guys of his ilk in the squad would make an enormous difference next season."

Milner may not be the most attractive player, but he had a vital hand, certainly in terms of his leadership, in helping Liverpool to win the Premier League.
He is a stalwart of the English top-flight, featuring a remarkable 535 times at that level.
His longevity from when he broke through at Leeds as a teenager is quite something. Now aged 34, he's in the twilight of his career, but arguably, he has never been more important to a team.
A move to Rangers seems far-fetched, especially given his current salary of £140,000-a-week, but it's hard to ignore the fact Rangers need players like him.
The Gers don't appear to have too many natural-born winners in their side and that was evident in the second half of the season.
Mistakes and lapses in concentration dominated the defence while Alfredo Morelos also struggled.
if they're to bridge the gap between themselves and Celtic, signing players of Milner's ilk would definitely help. Though, it will be a shock if the Liverpool player moves across the border.
