Manchester United have reached the FA Cup semi-finals after beating 10-man Norwich City in extra-time thanks to Harry Maguire's late winner. The Red Devils were forced to work hard for their victory at Carrow Road, although Norwich will feel this was a huge missed opportunity. It may have been a different story had it not been for Timm Klose’s red card in the 89th minute.Odion Ighalo put United ahead in the 51st-minute with a well-taken strike from close-range.The Nigerian, who completed a surprise loan move to Old Trafford in February, has now scored on all four of his starts for the Red Devils.Watch Ighalo’s goal here…

But with 15 minutes left on the clock, Todd Cantwell netted a superb equaliser past United goalkeeper Sergio Romero.

The 22-year-old rifled the ball into the bottom corner of the net from 25 yards…

Norwich looked the most likely to score a winner after Cantwell’s strike but, with no further goals scored after 90 minutes, the tie went to extra-time.

Shortly before the end of normal time, though, Norwich’s task was made all the more difficult when Klose was shown a straight red card for a foul on Ighalo.

This is an FA Cup tie which, in truth, won't live long in the memory.

That said, it might pop up in a future pub quiz because Ole Gunnar Solskjaer became the first manager to make six substitutes in a competitive match during extra-time.

Maguire almost won it for United in the 21st minute of extra-time but was denied by a fine Tim Krul save. The Norwich goalkeeper then pulled off another stop from the disappointing Bruno Fernandes moments later.

But he was powerless to prevent Maguire's dramatic late winning goal...

This was a captain's display from Maguire, who was arguably the game's standout performer.

United are the first team to qualify for the semis. Sheffield United v Arsenal, Leicester City v Chelsea and Newcastle United v Manchester City all take place on Sunday.
