Liverpool officially have the Premier League trophy safe in their grasps.

Manchester City threw away their faintest of faint hopes that the biggest sporting comeback in history was possible by paving the way for the Reds with a 2-1 loss at Chelsea on Thursday.

As a result, Jurgen Klopp's men have the unprecedented privilege of enjoying champion status despite there still being seven game-weeks to play.

But aside from gorging themselves on guards of honour and putting their feet up in training, the Reds must now direct their motivations towards filling up the history books as much as possible.

Besides, Liverpool still have the opportunity to collect five major records: most wins in a season, most home wins in a season, most away wins in a season, biggest win margin and most points.

When Liverpool can make history

In terms of the last record, Liverpool can mathematically amass 107 points before the campaign is out, which would move them more than two wins above Manchester City's original centurions.

But there are more yardsticks for Liverpool to pass along the way and fans can now start to tick off legendary teams' points tallies that the club will now start to surpass with each victory.

Manchester United's treble-winners have already been swallowed up, but we've done the maths to let you know the dates and fixtures in which Liverpool can overtake other great champions.

Get your diaries ready and check them out down below on the presumption Liverpool keep winning:

On course for records

Liverpool fans, do you remember how Arsenal celebrated so wildly when you lost your unbeaten record against Watford? Well, as you can see, there's now the perfect opportunity for revenge.

The Reds can now surpass the last two points tallies amassed by Pep Guardiola's men on a trip to the Emirates Stadium, assuming they win their next five games to reach 101 points.

That would then leave them with a home tie against Chelsea and a trip to Newcastle United to see whether they can give themselves breathing space on the magical 107.

But the big question is whether Klopp can keep his side motivated to reach these feats now that the title is in the bag. It would, after all, make them the Premier League's greatest ever team.
