Leading scorer Ashley Grimes could return to Lincoln`s starting line-up when Gillingham visit Sincil Bank.
The 17-goal striker made his comeback from an ankle injury as a half-time substitute during the defeat to Torquay. He suffered no reaction and has trained all week.
Midfielder Luke Howell could also return to the squad after a hamstring injury.
However, the same problem will sideline Mustapha Carayol. The winger was forced off after only seven minutes at Plainmoor last weekend. Scans have revealed the injury is not as bad as initially feared and his absence could only be a couple of weeks.
Defender Stephen Hunt remains sidelined with ankle ligament damage and striker Delroy Facey is out for the season after undergoing shoulder surgery.
Gillingham will be without Dennis Oli with medial knee ligament damage set to rule the forward out for the rest of the season.
Oli's latest injury setback leaves the Gills short in attack, but assistant boss Ian Hendon is backing the club's younger players to step up to the plate.
"Obviously we want as many players fit as possible at this stage of the season, but it gives other people an opportunity," said Hendon on Gillingham's official website.
"Stefan Payne has been in and around the squad since coming back from his loan spell and Luke Rooney is in contention too, so it's up to those boys to step up to the plate."
Changes could be on the cards for the play-off chasing Gills following last week's disappointing goalless draw with Hereford, with midfielder Danny Spiller back in contention after recovering from illness.
