"How do we stop Liverpool from winning the Premier League again next season?"

That is the question plenty of managers will be asking themselves in the coming weeks and months.

Jurgen Klopp’s side are set to win the title by the biggest margin in the league’s history as they sit 23 points clear of Manchester City - with the record standing at 19.

That gap may be too big to close in the space of one season.

For Chelsea, the point gap stands at 32 with Frank Lampard’s side currently sitting in fourth.

But it seems unlikely that gap will be anywhere near that big next season considering what the Blues are doing in the transfer window right now.

Tomorrow, Hakim Ziyech and Timo Werner will officially become Chelsea players after the club signed the forwards for £33 million and £48 million respectively. They even beat Liverpool to the signature of the latter and the title winners decided to withdraw their interest in the German.

But Chelsea aren’t stopping there and seem keen to make up for lost time following their transfer ban.

That’s because, according to Matt Law from the Telegraph, the club are set to bid for two more players.

After Bayer Leverkusen failed to qualify for Champions League football at the weekend, they will bid for exciting winger Kai Havertz.

Imagine a front-three of Havertz, Ziyech and Werner next season…

They’re also planning a bid for Leicester left-back Ben Chilwell.

Just imagine the squad the west London side are going to have next campaign if both of their pursuits are successful.

Title challengers? It’s certainly hard to rule them out…
