“We didn’t concede any goal once again,” Fernandes was quoted as saying by the Guardian after the match. “The defenders did an amazing job and the whole team deserved the result. We know if we keep this up we can make it into the Champions League placings.”
The Portugal international is also keen to not to put too much emphasis on his partnership with Paul Pogba.
“Paul is an amazing player but I don’t want to talk too much about me and him,” he added. “We are a team, and this was a team performance. Talking about me and Paul isn’t fair on the rest of the lads, I would rather talk about everyone.”
