Tyson Fury’s trilogy fight against Deontay Wilder is currently being scheduled for December 19 in Las Vegas.
Putting his WBC heavyweight title on the line, the Gypsy King will look to beat Wilder a final time to defend his championship successfully.
The first fight between the two heavyweights, back in December 2018, resulted in a draw. Wilder thought he had won, however, producing two knockdowns of the Gypsy King, which led to him saying after the fight: "I think with the two knockdowns, I definitely won the fight."
However, the second bout in February of this year was not a debate, as Fury came to the fight against the 34-year-old with a new aggressive approach.
Wilder’s corner threw in the towel midway through the seventh round after a dominant performance from Fury.
Speaking to Sky Sports, Brad Jacobs – Top Rank executive – has revealed that the trilogy fight is scheduled for later this year.
Top Rank are consulting the possibility of a safely-incorporated crowd for future fights, including Fury vs Wilder.
Jacobs told Sky Sports: "We are focusing on December 19 and are hoping that, by then, we are back to a nearly normal situation. That may be a 50 per cent capacity."
He went on to discuss the venue for where this title bout would take place and said: "We are looking all over the world, at this point, for the best location for this event. That will be narrowed down and we'll see where it takes us.
"There are many offers from all over the world. It will land where it lands, for whatever reason. At the moment there is no real progress for any specific location."
Fury must defend his WBC title against Wilder before he can face his mandatory challenger Dillian Whyte.
If successful, Fury is looking to stage an undisputed title fight with fellow Brit Anthony Joshua.
