Given Reading's financial struggles, it seems that it'll be difficult for them to keep hold of the player.
That means that a cut-price deal could be in the offing.
Sheffield United have made the first move, but Leeds United will almost certainly be weighing up an offer of their own.
As well as being technically gifted, Swift carries the stamina and work rate needed to really adapt to life in Marcelo Bielsa's side.
A fee of around £3million is a bargain for a player of his quality, and whoever manages to sign him this summer will have done an incredibly shrewd piece of business.
