Newcastle's players showed that the current takeover saga engulfing the club is having no effect on them this week.A 4-1 win over Bournemouth on the road was easily one of Steve Bruce's finest moments as Magpies boss.Unfortunately, though, it remains to be seen whether he's in charge next season.Providing PIF walk through the door, they could choose to completely shake things up, getting rid of the manager and bringing new faces with them.At the moment, however, that is merely speculation. Either way, it's certainly no positive that so many people are unclear on the takeover. At the moment, it seems as though the Premier League is trying to do a deal with PIF and Saudi Arabia for broadcast rights. It seems the least Saudi can do given their track record of piracy, and indeed, a resolution could soon be found according to top-flight chief Richard Masters. When that occurs, though, remains to be seen.AshleyIt's been questioned as to whether Newcastle's players know what's going, with a theory being proposed that things were close because of how well they played on Wednesday. However, that was quickly shut down by The Athletic's George Caulkin on Twitter.Responding to a fan, the reporter said:

It was an interesting reveal, but one that's hardly surprising given everything is happening at board level, not in front of the playing staff.

Bruce

GIVEMESPORT'S Matt Dawson says...

Although Newcastle's display against the Cherries was impressive, it really had nothing to do with whether the takeover could soon go through.

It was a positive display and one that showed they can still compete even with off-field distractions.

Ever since the Magpies came back from the break they've had huge claims lingering over their head. The players and manager will be keen to know not only what the future of the club is, but they're likely to be sweating over their own places at the club.

What if PIF don't like some of their players? What if they don't like the coaching staff?

Ashley out

This isn't just Mike Ashley's future at stake here - it's potentially hundreds of members of staff all seemingly in the dark.

This isn't healthy for the football club and it could eat them away in the coming weeks.

Initial signs demonstrate that won't happen but football is a funny game - if the takeover falls though, doom and gloom could enshroud Newcastle again.

The Toon Army surely can't imagine anything worse.
