Carlo Ancelotti's reign as Everton boss has been nothing short of sensational.
Since football restarted, the Toffees have drawn with Premier League champions Liverpool and fought off Leicester to win 2-1.
Those results, along with the impressive mentality the Italian has instilled since Marco Silva left has been truly eye-catching.
European football may be a stretch but they have the qualities to surely mount a challenge next season.
Certainly, they'll have the firepower if they sign some of their reported targets.
Napoli winger Hirving Lozano has been linked, as have Brazilians Philippe Coutinho and Everton Soares.
It's clear Ancelotti is in the hunt for some attacking dynamism, and now someone plying their trade in the Bundesliga has emerged as a target for the Merseysiders.
The player in question is someone at Bayer Leverkusen, and he's highly sought-after.
Sky Sports are reporting that Everton, among others, are interested in signing Jamaican Leon Bailey.
The 22-year-old has three years left on his current deal but could cost between £20m-£30m.
The player is supposedly keen on a move to England with scouts from Manchester City, Liverpool, Manchester United and the Toffees watching him in action last Saturday.
It was previously thought he'd cost as much as £60m this summer but COVID-19 has played havoc with the transfer market.

Unfortunately for Bailey, scouts watching will have been largely unimpressed with his performance last weekend.
The winger was disappointing as Leverkusen beat Mainz. The youngster failed to make a successful dribble as he was dispossessed twice.
He also failed to provide a single key pass for his teammates.
However, Bailey is more than just one game. He is a hugely impressive young talent, one that has seven goals to his name in 2019/20.
It's hard to look past some of the glowing endorsements he's received too.
Because of his electric pace and ability to beat an opponent, he's been dubbed the new Arjen Robben, earning lofty praise from Ajax youth coach Ronald de Boer:
"He’s so fast it’s not normal. His speed, combined with his technique, is very rare. Exceptional. He has no weak points," he explained.
His sheer pace should remind Everton fans of Theo Walcott, but they need not worry about Bailey. Unlike the current Everton winger, he still has the rest of his career ahead of him.
There is plenty of room for the wide man to grow and develop - something he'll surely achieve under the watchful eyes of Ancelotti. Marcel Brands has to go out and get him this summer.
