GIVEMESPORT'S Danny Ryan says...

Tread carefully around these latest revelations, United fans.

It was only a few days ago that it was being reported that senior officials at the club would only be willing to pay £50m for Sancho.

Agreeing personal terms is, of course, a significant step in the right direction, but United would still face the arduous task of negotiating a transfer fee with Dortmund.

And let's be honest, the German club aren't going to let a £100m+ player depart for half that fee, regardless of the financial implications of the coronavirus pandemic.

Sancho in action

There's certainly room for optimism here, United fans, but do not assume that a forward line of Sancho, Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial is now a given for the 2020/21 season.
