Tottenham Hotspur need a boost.
The club have played three times since the resumption of the Premier League following the COVID-19 suspension.
They have beaten West Ham United, drawn with Manchester United, and, on Thursday, lost to Sheffield United.
It means that their hopes of qualifying for the Champions League are in tatters; they sit seven points behind fifth-placed United and nine points behind Chelsea in fourth.
With six games of the season remaining, there is precious little chance of the club making up the gap and it means that the summer transfer window has taken on even more importance.
They desperately need new blood and players who can help the club escape the end of a cycle.
Spurs appear to have grown rather stagnant, under first Mauricio Pochettino and then under Mourinho.
It appears that plans for the window are underway, though, and are continuing apace.
Sport Witness carries a report from CalcioNapoli24, claiming that Jose Mourinho’s side are interested in signing Ajax forward Danilo Pereira da Silva.
Both Benfica and Napoli are also reported to be interested in snapping up the 21-year-old.
He joined the club in 2018 and has played three times for the club’s senior side, scoring in a Europa League clash with Getafe earlier this year.
The youngster has an excellent record in the youth teams, scoring 24 goals in 42 games for the U21s, and 16 in 19 games for the U19s.
He has a contract until 2022 and can play on both flanks and through the middle as a central striker.

This is a return to the Pochettino days.
They consistently looked to pluck the best young players away from other clubs under his management, snapping up the likes of Dele Alli, Jack Clarke, Ryan Sessegnon, and Juan Foyth under the Argentine’s tenure.
With Mourinho in charge, there was perhaps an expectation of signing older, more experienced players but a move for Pereira da Silva would be an exciting one.
He is clearly a talent and he has emerged from one of the best youth academies in world football; Ajax have produced some of the very best footballers ever to play the game.
Spurs clearly need back-up to senior striker Harry Kane and bringing in a young player who can both learn from and play with the England captain would be a masterstroke.
Transfermarkt value him at £900,000 and a deal at that sort of price would be exceptional value.
