Liverpool have it pretty good at the moment.

Despite being hammered 4-0 by Manchester City in midweek, Pep Guardiola and his players had to form a guard of honour and clap the Reds.

The reason? A first Premier League crown in 30 years.

Although their performance in Manchester left plenty to be desired, there is no doubting they deserve to be champions.

The sheer gap between themselves and City says it all.

However, with a number of Liverpool stars presumably enjoying a couple of nights on the drink, one player had his focus elsewhere.

Rather incredibly, Mo Salah turned his attentions to Egypt in order to provide aid during the current Coronavirus pandemic.

It's claimed the winger has made an enormous charitable donation, gifting £30,000 to his hometown of Nagrig in Egypt.

That sum of money has gone into building a brand new ambulance centre so that his country can help manage the pandemic more efficiently.

It's an enormous show of gratitude from the 28-year-old who has been quick to share his earnings this season with other people.

Salah's father, Ghaly, joined mayor Tarek Rahmy to officially open the centre last week where his money is already being felt by the local people.

Salah has won praise for doing so, furthering on previous charity work he's carried out.

The forward has previously paid for a girls' school, sports facilities, medical equipment and has also paid for land to build a sewage treatment plant - all of which are now in his hometown.

On top of that, the Egypt international has donated food to help the people in their time of need.

Salah

The forward is clearly someone with others at heart but his attentions will now turn back to the football.

Jurgen Klopp has admitted he'll field his strongest side available for the rest of the season.

Liverpool's next match is against relegation-threatened Aston Villa on Sunday afternoon.
