Man Utd's Harry Maguire and David de Gea at fault for Bournemouth's shock opener

Manchester United made a terrible start during their Saturday afternoon clash with Bournemouth.

The Red Devils have been unbeaten in all competitions since marquee signing Bruno Fernandes made his debut in February, so the arrival of the Cherries to Old Trafford looked to pose very little threat.

But this is the Premier League we're talking about and aside from always delivering shocks a plenty, United always have an embarrassing defeat in their legs from losing to Burnley and Watford.

And it Bournemouth who surprisingly took the lead at the 'Theatre of Dreams' as Junior Stanislas - who once scored a corner against United - found the back of the net after 16 minutes.

However, it was a goal that will have Roy Keane tearing his hair out as the duo of Harry Maguire and David de Gea suffered key mistakes for the second time since the league's return.

Stanislas' shock opener vs Man Utd

Just as the two struggled with Tottenham's opener during the first game back, they were mugged off within the space of a few seconds to give Bournemouth a leg up.

Maguire - the world's most expensive defender, lest we forget - was nutmegged on the goal-line before De Gea was scandalously beaten from what looked to be an impossible angle.

Somewhere, somehow, Keane is having an absolute meltdown and can you blame him?

The Irishman said of the United pair after the Spurs game: "I am staggered at Maguire, how an international player can just get done like that - and I am sick to death of this goalkeeper.

"I would be fining him [De Gea] at half-time, there is no getting away from that. I would be swinging punches at that guy. That is a standard save for an established international goalkeeper.

"I am flabbergasted. Maguire and De Gea... I wouldn't even let them on the bus after the match. Get a taxi back to Manchester. Do your job. We're trying to get into the top four - never mind win trophies - shocking. I am disgusted. They should hang their heads in shame."
