Conor McGregor announced his retirement from UFC last month. "I’ve decided to retire from fighting. Thank you all for the amazing memories! What a ride it’s been," he posted on social media. So what's next for the former featherweight and lightweight champion? If reports are to be believed, he could end up in WWE one day soon. McGregor has previously teased swapping the cage for the squared circle and dropped another hint recently - by suggesting he wants to face Vince McMahon. He posted an image of himself holding the WWE Championship and one of his UFC belts on his Instagram story, captioning it "McMahon vs McGregor CEO Flashmatch."It seems Notorious has set his sights on wrestling - but that hasn't gone down with a certain Drew McIntyre. McIntyre wasn't happy with McGregor's postThe WWE Champion fired back at McGregor's post, laying into him with a few rather personal insults. "Big man @TheNotoriousMMA picking a fight with ANOTHER 70 year old, you couldn’t drop a guy in a pub, you have no chance against Vince," McIntyre tweeted."You’re just the latest guy thinking he can have his PR team stick my title on his shoulder & walk into our world. Stick to whiskey McTapper."

Brutal. Forget McGregor vs McMahon, it seems we'll be getting McGregor vs McIntyre soon.

GIVEMESPORT's Ollie Browning says:

Now that's a wrestling match we'd love to see. But will McGregor really swap UFC for WWE?

It's hard to say for sure, but he wouldn't be the first to do so. Brock Lesnar, Ronda Rousey and now Matt Riddle have all done it before him, so there's certainly a path to follow.

McGregor could move to WWE soon

But given how many times McGregor has 'retired' from UFC only to make a comeback, we're not sure he's done for good just yet.

It will certainly be interesting to see if Notorious does reply to McIntyre's rather personal tweet. Better grab the popcorn...
